Morrissey in Politics?

I don’t know if Morrissey would make a good Prime Minister or not, but he couldn’t be much worse than the other contenders?

I mean when was the last time a politician said something that made you stop and think?

And when did a politician last make you want to dance?

Mozzer speaks from the heart, rather than the sanitised PR drivel that spews out of most politician’s mouths.

Cmon, lets Vote for Moz!

I've been dreaming of a time when, the English are sick to death of Labour and Tories

If only...

Spot the strategically placed Panic! Smiths+Morrissey Disco flyposter to cover up some bad photoshopping!  Equally a tribute to the real life Cameron poster in Hackney where someone stuck a sticker over his mouth saying “Bollocks”.

And another one …

David Cameron on Music

Too much time on my hands, perhaps?

If you’ve got a bit of time to waste, you can create your own David Cameron poster here:

Panic! Smiths Disco Liverpool – In the news

We’ve had a mention on the Liverpool news page of Skiddle!

“After a successful trial run last November, Panic! – Liverpool’s own Smiths + Morrissey Disco is to be come a regular feature.

With live bands chosen to appeal to Smiths fans from 7.30pm – 10pm, The Smiths disco then takes over – where the DJ plays nothing but Morrissey and The Smiths for the remainder of the evening – Heaven or Hell, depending on whether you are a Smiths fan or not!
For those who want a break from Morrissey, there will be acoustic bands playing upstairs.”

Panic! Smiths+Morrissey Disco Liverpool tickets on Ebay – 25% of proceeds to Haiti Earthquake Appeal

For those who missed out on free tickets to our next Smiths+Morrissey Disco night @ The Zanzibar Club in Liverpool on Friday 26th Feb 2010 (you have to be quick!), we have put tickets on sale via Ebay.

I’ve always liked the idea of combing gig promotion with raising funds for good causes – but it usually involves a lot of paperwork and it’s hard to prove that the money actually went to the nominated charity.

By putting advance tickets on Ebay it gives wider exposure to our night, and they handle the donation side on our behalf, so you can be sure there’s no funny business – a winner all round!

The chosen good cause this time around is the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.

So for just £4 (plus 50p to cover the envelope and stamp – per order, not per ticket) you get entry to Panic! Smiths+Morrissey Disco, Sick! 3 great live bands (The Indelicates, Bony Ghosts and Ragz) on the main stage, plus Acoustic/Folk/Poetry upstairs at “The Folk Upstairs” PLUS the knowledge that £1 goes to the earthquake appeal.

Here is our listing: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110485005689&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

Remember, only advance tickets sold via Ebay include a contribution to the earthquake appeal.

What’s your favourite Smiths/Morrissey track?

Our DJ on the 26th Feb is sure to play all the most popular Smiths and Morrissey tracks.

But is there an album track or rare live track that you feel often gets overlooked?

If so then let us know and we’ll ask him to play it!

Panic! Smiths + Morrissey Disco, Liverpool
